Bogor, July 15, 2025 – The Faculty of Law, Pancasila University (FHUP), through its Master of Notary and Doctoral Programs in Law, held a Community Service (PKM) activity in Pasir Angin Village, Cileungsi District, Bogor Regency. The theme of the activity was “Legal Counseling to Increase Public Awareness in the Digital Era.”
This activity is a concrete proof of the active role of FHUP in realizing the Tridharma of Higher Education, especially in the realm of community service. Present at this activity was the Dean of FHUP, Prof. Dr. Eddy Pratomo, S.H., M.A., who opened the event and played a role in the signing of a cooperation agreement between FHUP and the Pasir Angin Village Government. This collaboration is aimed at building synergy between higher education institutions and village governments in increasing the capacity and legal awareness of the local community.
The training materials covered a number of important issues, including employment, family law, agrarian law, inheritance, child protection, and the use of personal data in financial digitalization. Furthermore, criminal law issues frequently faced by the public were also discussed. All materials were delivered by a team of lecturers and students from the Faculty of Law and Upholding Law (FHUP) using communicative and contextual methods. This aimed to ensure participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the law and were able to respond to the challenges emerging in today’s digital era.
The enthusiastic participation of the Pasir Angin Village community in the Community Service Program (PKM) was reflected in the active participation of participants in the discussion and question-and-answer sessions, which encouraged two-way communication between the speakers and residents. The training method employed by this PKM is not only educational but also aims to empower the community to apply their legal understanding in their daily lives.
The Head of the PKM Executive Committee, Prof. Dr. Agus Surono, S.H., M.H., emphasized that this activity is not only a form of dedication from lecturers and students, but also a part of FHUP’s commitment to increasing public legal awareness while strengthening academic contributions through scientific and digital publications.
FHUP believes that this activity is a concrete manifestation of strategic collaboration between the academic world and the community, which not only strengthens the role of the village as an active partner in legal development, but also encourages Pasir Angin Village to grow as an inspiration for other villages in realizing a society that is intelligent, responsive, and legally empowered in the digital era.
