PUBLIC LECTURE “POSITION AND ROLE OF NOTARIES AS ACTORS IN THE CAPITAL MARKET”.

Jakarta, December 10, 2025 – The Notary Study Program, Faculty of Law, Pancasila University, held a public lecture on “The Position and Role of Notaries as Actors in the Capital Market” on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, online via Zoom. This event aimed to enhance students’ and academics’ understanding of the strategic role of notaries in supporting capital market activities in Indonesia.

The public lecture featured two speakers: Dr. Sentosa Sembiring, S.H., M.H., Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Parahyangan Catholic University, and Dr. Agung Iriantoro, S.H., M.H., Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, Pancasila University and PPAT/Capital Market Notary. They comprehensively explained the position of notaries as a supporting profession in the capital market, as regulated by applicable laws and regulations.

In their presentation, the speakers explained that notaries play a crucial role in ensuring legal certainty, transparency, and protection for parties involved in capital market transactions. Notaries are authorized to draw up authentic deeds related to securities issuance activities, such as the issuer’s deed of establishment, amendments to the articles of association, minutes of the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS), and agreements supporting capital market activities.

The public lecture was interactive, with a question-and-answer session enthusiastically participated by students. Various questions were raised regarding career opportunities for notaries in the capital market and the competency readiness required from college. Through this activity, the Notary Study Program of the Faculty of Law, Pancasila University, affirmed its commitment to continuously presenting academic activities relevant to the needs of legal practice and developments in the professional world.
